Playing Tennis during COVID 19 - the Key Points of the Rules
BOOKING AND ARRIVAL:
Book your court in advance on Fastcourts
Remember - Toilet facilities at the pavilion are not available
Do not come to the club if feeling unwell
It's ok to handle your opponents tennis balls but we recommend you sanitise your hands regularly during play
Wash your hands before coming to the court
Bring your own sanitiser and wipe down your racquet before play
Tennis bags are ok but please bring only what you need to play on to the court
AT THE COURT:
Only play with those you are booked with. Any changes to names must be made on fastcourts BEFORE you enter the courts or you will not be allowed to play. Track and Trace records are an important obligation for the club and council. We cannot remain open without these records.
Use sanitiser at entrance before and after play
Singles Only from April 1st 2021
Doubles only permitted where playing partners are from the same household, opponents can be playing partners from one other household.
Maintain 2 metres distance from other players
Change ends on opposite sides
No handshakes or high fives
Players should avoid touching their face after handling a ball, racquet or other equipment
LEAVING THE COURT:
Exit the court on time, stop playing and prepare to leave 5 minutes before your finish time
Take everything with you ( no bins are provided, take your rubbish home )
Use sanitiser at exit
Don’t congregate around the entrance (only 1 gate will be open), stand back and leave plenty of space for others to get in and out

Our Club always welcomes new members and summer is the perfect time to play.
We had a busy year planned with tournaments, coaching, junior matchplay and competitions, club play nights as well as the all important social events. As restrictions are lifted we will be able to do more but right now you can get on court and enjoy playing.
