Playing Tennis during COVID 19 - the Key Points of the Rules
BOOKING AND ARRIVAL:
Book your court in advance on Fastcourts. We must have a Covid Officer while members are on the courts. If no one else has already done so book yourself as Covid Officer.
Remember - Toilet facilities at the pavilion are not available
Do not come to the club if feeling unwell
It's ok to handle your opponents tennis balls but we recommend you sanitise your hands regularly during play
Wash your hands before coming to the court. We recommend you bring your own sanitiser and wipe down your racquet before play
Tennis bags are ok but please bring only what you need to play on to the court
AT THE COURT:
Only play with those you are booked with. Track and Trace records are an important obligation for the club and council. We cannot remain open without these records.
Use sanitiser at entrance before and after play
Maintain 2 metres distance from other players
Change ends on opposite sides
No handshakes or high fives
Players should avoid touching their face after handling a ball, racquet or other equipment
LEAVING THE COURT:
Exit the court on time, stop playing and prepare to leave 5 minutes before your finish time
Take everything with you ( no bins are provided, take your rubbish home )
Use sanitiser at exit
Don’t congregate around the entrance (only 1 gate will be open), stand back and leave plenty of space for others to get in and out
We recommend you sanitise your racquets, balls and other equipment after playing
