Ballycastle Tennis Club

A tennis club in Ballycastle, Antrim, on the Causeway Coast of Northern Ireland, has been a thing for more than a century with us celebrating our 30th anniversary, in the modern era, in 2023. Club members benefit from recently resurfaced tennis facilities (completed in 2023) with a clubhouse, 6 hard courts for year round use, and access to 5 grass courts during the summer season.

Causeway Coast and Glens Council provides 6  Floodlit Polymeric Courts (courts 6 - 11 ) and 5 Natural Grass Courts ( courts 1 - 5 ), these some of the the last lawn tennis courts in Northern Ireland. The Council has established a user agreement with Ballycastle Tennis Club for the use of courts 6 - 9 in return for Season Tickets payable per member. The grass courts are open seasonally for public and club use and host a number of Senior and Junior Tournaments during the Summer months.

Ballycastle Tennis Club organises social tennis sessions for adult club members weekly on both Monday and Friday evenings from 7-9pm.  The club enters a number of senior and junior teams in the Belfast and District League for those members looking for more competitive play. There are opportunities year round to develop your tennis by participating in the groups coaching programme or one-to-one sessions delivered by Club Coach Sean Moloney.
