Qualifications
Sean Moloney is an exciting and experienced Tennis Ireland and USNTA tennis coach situated in Ballycastle Northern Ireland, Sean also holds certification with the PTR and the USPTA in coaching youth tennis. Sean also holds a level 1 IFA coaching badge and has certification in the safe guarding of children and young players in sport and also nutrition in sport.
 
​Playing Tennis
Sean is a former top junior player on the Ulster Tennis circuit and has over 50 singles and doubles junior titles to his name. Sean has also represented Ulster at Junior Inter- provincial level. In September 2020 Sean represented Ulster in the Veterans Inter-provincial Championships in Cork.
 
Sean still competes on the Senior and Veterans Ulster circuit which has seen him lift the Co Antrim Over 35 singles event in 2017 and 2018 along with various other titles. 
 
Sean became the youngest ever winner of a senior tournament in Northern Ireland in 1997 winning the Men's Senior grass court championship in Ballycastle at the age of 15.
 
Coaching Tennis
Sean began coaching on his home courts in Ballycastle in 2016. His aim is to get as many local children and adults on the courts of his home club.
This year Sean coached the Ballycastle tennis club u14 girls team to winning the Division 2 league trophy and then the challenge trophy, this was a fantastic achievement for the girls who were competing against all the top clubs in Ulster. Sean also coaches junior players who are ranked in the top 10 in Ulster in their age groups.
